Make thyme for this five-star buffet restaurant

This buffet-style restaurant is located within the Sofitel Brisbane Hotel, and as you would expect from a five-star hotel, the décor and atmosphere as you walk in are just beautiful.
The buffet selection includes a variety of cheeses, salads, sushi, a brilliant selection of fresh seafood including Moreton Bay bugs, king prawns, mussels and oysters.
The hot food section includes an array of meats, and options that change nightly.
The part that stands out every time is the dessert (make sure you save some room).
The restaurant’s authentic French pastry chef creates a phenomenal array of pastries, macaroons, tarts, truffles, handmade ice cream and more.
There is even a chocolate fountain that is to die for.
Also offered is a wine buffet in which the wait-staff will kindly help pair the perfect wine to each meal choice.
The restaurant is pricey, at $75 a head, but is my first choice when it comes to special occasions and celebrations.
